I’m in the field of radio market research. If you’re a number cruncher than you’ll find work but not much advancement, unless you’re an insane math head. If you go into it as a sales person and know how to spin numbers than you will find money and opportunity. Being able to make a low number look good in a high number field takes skills and those kinds of skills will get you places.
