Has anyone made money from a Market Research Focus Group Study?

I registered with five local places that do market research. I have been called and paid to be involved with focus groups, music listening groups and one on one interviews. Last year I made a little over $1000 for attending 8 sessions which lasted from 1-3 hours apiece.

Anyone have experience with this? What do you think?

It’s great that you are willing to participate. You were smart to register so you get called. You should be compensated for you time. Compensation varies depending on the type, location, and length of the study.

Companies conduct market research because they want to make sure their products and services will meet consumers’ expectations. They are very interested in gathering a representative variety of consumer opinions.

The key is to make sure you give your honest opinions so they are working with the facts.
