Banks are required to give you a courtesy credit of the money at 3 days--subject to the deposit being good. When the check bounces, the bank will take the money back out of your account. You will owe the bank 100% of the money. The scammers love to concoct stories to get around Western Union's anti-fraud policies. They'll call it a test and ask you to tell the WU agent that you are sending money to a friend. Thus WU's attempt to prevent the fraud by asking you questions is cancelled out.
