Internet marketing has presented itself in many different ways, but one I commonly see underestimated is video. I have been asked many times why I would want to add a video or two when marketing my website since I do not get a backlink.  To these people I say that Google is not the only search platform you need to be worried with when marketing a website.  You Tube and Daily Motion both offer excellent platforms for the internet marketer to expand their marketing campaign.  Videos are also an excellent way to increase the branding of a website and place a face behind the words making it possible to increase the trust between you and your visitors.  This is important for anyone trying to make money online; remember if people do not trust you they will not participate in your affiliate program or buy your goods so take every chance you can to seem personal rather than superficial.

Before you begin your video marketing you first must be in the right mind set.  What this means is if you do not want to redo the video over and over then it is important to have everything set up and ready to go before you begin.  Personally I find it very helpful to spend a little money on a dry erase board and some markers then write each subject that I wish to talk about in the video.  Next place the board right behind the webcam or digital video camera so when you’re looking at the board it does not look like your looking away from the camera.  Another important thing to do is make sure that you are in a quite location; I have seen many videos outdoors where I could barely hear the person talking. It is also important to be in a well lit room and take a little time to adjust everything behind you so there will be nothing to take the attention of the viewer away from what you are saying.

Practice taking videos as  well, I found out early in my video marketing that I am camera shy so remember to rehearse so when it is action time you will be able to perform. These tips should give you a good start in your video marketing campaign.
